Saint Eve

L. Gabrielle Penabaz: vocals, music
Bec Stupak: guitar, video
Saint Eve is an immersive, multimedia music experience featuring
singer L. Gabrielle Penabaz and guitarist/VJ Bec Stupak. Saint Eve's
live show pulses with edgy rock-meets-electro music and integrated
visual projections.
Since meeting in 1999, Bec and Gabrielle have worked and performed
with the likes of Peaches, Tracy + The Plastics, Green Velvet,
Electralene, Coil, Boy George, Gary Numan, Who Da Funk, members of
Kraftwerk, Blue Man Group and many more. Performances regularly
receive rave reviews and occur in and around Saint Eve's NYC home,
around the U.S. and in the U.K. They have performed in some of the
largest US venues and parties: Irving Plaza, Webster Hall,
Hammerstein Ballroom (NY), House of Blues (New Orleans), Detroit's
Electronic Music Festival, Ultraworld (Washington D.C.), Magical
Maydaze (Miami). The pair also promote underground tech-art events in
New York.
Coming out of the performance art party scene in New York's Lower
East Side, Gabrielle created Saint Eve to be a vibrant and modular
act that incorporates a wide range of performance elements. Early on,
Bec's unique graphic style video projections added a fantastical look
to Saint Eve's performance. The development of a new body of songs
has prompted the pair to take the union a step further, and take
Saint Eve on the road to expose the project to audiences across the
country.
Visually and sonically stunning, Saint Eve is performing shows with
bands using technology (especially video), girl bands, electro-rock
groups, and anyone who admires strong visuals in tandem with powerful
songwriting. Saint Eve's newest songs will be gathered under the
title ELIXIR and will be released in the fall of 2003. To accompany
the release, the Saint Eve will launch a four-month tour of the
United States.
Saint Eve-Friday, August 8th-from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm EST.
