Kevin Russell`s music history started with a very big club called Bonds International, where he got his very first Lesson at how a DJ really works a crowd. He listened to Kenny Carpenter and thought, "damn, I love this scene".
After that night he went through a relentless pursuit from Club to Club, until he finally found a home at the Legendary Paradise Garage and Club Zanzibar.æ Hearing Larry Levanæ at the Garage and Tee Scott at the Zanzibar was where he got most of his roots from.
Ever since 1983 Kevin has been playing in residential bars and clubs and spreading his love for the underground music.
Current project Hot Chocolate will feature Deep House, Rare Grooves and Funk, music programmed by Resident Kevin Russell and Friends streaming live audio & video at Downshiftradio.com.
