A Word From Dan
What a busy time we had last week!
So many events and so many surprise guests showed up at the last minute.
First off I would like to give a warm special Thank You to DJ Camacho who showed up last week not once, but TWICE on DSR!
Camacho`s positive approach about life reflects through his music.
Here is a man that struggled for more then 35 years and never held back on his career, always remaining faithful to his fans, the music, and the
underground.
Second, we had Nebula who stopped by and shared the decks with Mr Roger Ugly and boy, when I finally got to the studio, it was hot as a sauna!
And last, we had DJ Dome who came by and scratched on the decks alongside AKAJ for a special hip-hop/DnB extravaganza edition. AKA said we`ll see more of him in the future.
Well that`s how it is in DSR land, blink for a second and you miss out on a great show. So keep it tuned-in all the time!
Alright, here we go with another week and more surprises on the way!

DJ Whyteout on The Soulful Hour Plus
DJ Whyteout makes a special appearance on "The Soulful Hour Plus" with Jay Smoove and Rodney BX.
Whyteout started spinning in 91 and soon became a fixture in the loft party scene that spawned many of Chicagošs well-known artists of today. Often recognized for his talents in the realm of Disco and Classics, he has strived to educate audiences in new music as well without forgetting about his roots. ŗIšve been compiling music for 12 yrs. now and I try to utilize my whole collection,˛ states Whyteout. ŗIšm not just about playing the hot new stuff. I have too many good records that didnšt get any play when they were new!˛
Whyteout has went on to play at Bang the Party, Halcyon, BKNY, Centro-fly, Deep See, and 2išs in NYC; the Pressure Cooker at the Ruby Room in Dallas; as well as various guest spots around Chicago. He is currently a resident for the Music 101 record label.

Brenda Black
Brenda arrived in the NYC Underground Lounge Scene in 1998.
With residencies and guest spots in hot clubs BARRACUDA, LIMELIGHT and HUSH, her eclectic and fun party style got her gigs at promotional events for the likes of MAC and ESTEE LAUDER.
Upon the recommendation of Legendary DJ Danny Krivitz, Brenda was
offered a spot in "For The Record". She is currently an FTR member and appear on the FTR record review panel.
Other music credentials include working as music director for a variety of TV pilots.
Brenda currently holds residencies at BARDO (Fridays) and BARRACUDA (Sundays-Mondays)

Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, Roman made his way into
the music business starting humbly as an intern in small recording studios, radio stations, and independent record labels. He was completely mesmerized by sound recording technology and was eager to be an integral part of it. An ever-growing drive to have his art heard rocketed him forward. In addition to numerous original productions, a
full-length album (Ghosts In Flavours) and many
remixes, Roman has held several New York City DJ residences.
Admittedly a very moody and emotional person, Roman lets his feelings of frustration at the ŗcrap˛ that floods the mainstream
consumer market be expressed in his dark, sometimes angry compositions. It is not only anger and frustration that inspires him but
also everyday emotions such as love, happiness and the occasional blues. In addition to being emotionally charged he is also inspired by peoplešs appreciation of well produced music, weather it is death metal, punk rock, minimal techno or symphonic.
