A word from Dan
Spring is upon us, the early dark evenings of winter have been swept away rapidly with the switch to daylight savings time. The clouds floating above New York City are long gone and when the skies finally clear up, the sun stays out too late for music fans and young lovers to enjoy....downshiftradio.com
Yes, what else would you rather do when its nice and sunny except sit in your office or bedroom enjoying work and school work activities accompanied by your favorite DJs on the web!
Pumpin House music, blazin' Hip Hop and RnB, Soulful to Progressive with some devilish hardcore music and blissful Trance thrown in between are the ingredients. All made possible through the WWW from our New York studios to the world!
This week, witness the continued adventures of Dotted Line's "Dot Radio Live" featuring the best in urban rhyme and DJ skills. Get all pumped up and nasty to the rhythms of Nasty 8 and then finish of the weekend with 2 live parties brought to you courtesy of the Underground Groovement leader Dave Davis and Naked Rhythm's Loka & Mode.
As always...
Keep 'em dancin'
Dan Bino.

Pure Gonzo Music-Special set
On Friday, April 9th log on to check out the sounds of Travis Troy and Brian Sabbeth of Pure Gonzo Music, from 6-8:00 pm EST.
Pure Gonzo Music is defined as:
1. With total commitment, total concentration, and a mad sort of panache.
2. More loosely: Overwhelming; outrageous; over the top; very large, esp. used of collections of source code, source files, or individual functions. Has some of the
connotations of moby and hairy, but without the implication of obscurity or complexity. Although obscurity and complexity may compliment
the final product.
Travis Troy-Co-Founder of Pure Gonzo Music, Travis' musical experience and focus is all directed to the movement of House music. Travis' heavy musical influences come together in his sets to create a vibe that is everywhere from deep underground tribal to funky minimal tech house. Travis is well known for playing diverse crowds and pleases everyone with his intense track selections.
Travis started out DJing in Oneonta, New York in 1997 with Pure Gonzo DJ, Furious Styles. Moving on to play Deep House at various venues in London from 1999-2000, Travis got his reputation for a strong emphasis on track selection. When NYC's Float was renamed and re-opened as Candy, Travis opened the club with a six hour set for a crowd of 600 at the New York 2002 Independent Film Festival After Party. He brought his music to Italy in the summer of 2003 and landed a spot in one of Southern Italy's hottest clubs, Rebus, where he was invited to return in the summers to come. Although Travis tries to spread the word of House all over the world, he stays true to where his sound derives from...NYC.
Brian Sabbeth-Brian spins everything from deep house to techno and everything in between. Known to rock every dance floor he plays, you can hear his live mixes on New York's 88.1 WCWP fm radio or at events worldwide. With a very rare collection of dance music spanning the last 20 years and more this DJ always stands out of any lineup in any town.
Brian started on the decks in 1996 and soon after landed himself a residence at NYC's weekly One Love parties. Playing everywhere from the historic Limelight, and other major spots in NYC, to small clubs and rave venues he has maintained an underground status of Pure Gonzo Music's "Psycho-Semantic Chief of Police" by mixing raw energy, multiple genres of dance music, and a ferocious array of tracks that other DJs simply, don't play, or don't know about. Brian can and loves playing on 3 decks while combining them with CDs and effect processors. He never leaves for a gig with less then 150 tracks in order to "properly tap into the collective consciousness of any room at any time and make people dance, as well as not repeat any tracks that may have been played earlier that evening." Brian can and has been known to play marathon sets (which can last more then 10 hours).
Pure Gonzo Music-Special set-Friday, April 9th from 6-8:00 pm EST EST.
