A Word From Dan

Here we are with another week of underground dance music streams. This week's latest editions are DJ Tower (Tuesdays 12-2:00 am) playing Progressive/House and DJ Tutu (Saturday from 1-3:00 pm) rocking it Tribal Progressive style.
That alongside the weekly line of shows, guests and rare snow storm interruptions are to be expected this coming week on Downshiftradio.
The Downshift crew will attend the Winter Music Conference held in Miami next year, March 6-10th 2004. Among other things we will be giving away promos and CDs. Please make sure to drop us an email if interested in any giveaways and tell us who you are, this way we wouldn't experience shortage in amount and keep everyone happy.
That's it from me, hope you enjoy the holidays wherever you are.
Keep 'em dancin'.

The Spin Doctor

On Thursday, December 18th, Tune in to the Progressive and Hard sounds of The Spin Doctor, from 9-11:00 pm.

Throughout history there have been those who have taught us many things. Those stand out individuals are what make the world a better place, while creating a life for themselves that relies on truth, honor, and passion. Teaching us a thing or two in life and behind the turntables while igniting us with renewed passion is DJ SPIN DOCTOR. Perhaps not yet part of history, yet creating a niche for himself, SPIN DOCTOR got his start 13 years ago while fiddling with his brother's old DJ equipment, he was hooked right from the start and wanted to turn his passion to a career. At 24, SPIN DOCTOR, also know as Sal Mastro continues to rock audiences all across New York, from small events to huge clubs. SPIN DOCTOR's style of spinning is unique, blending many styles of HiNRG, Hard and Progressive House. He is a storyteller, most noted for his powerful mixes. His main inspirations are Tony Draper and Jonathan Peters. Perhaps you have seen SPIN DOCTOR in action, for those who have they never forget what this Doc can do.
As of today, the SPIN DOCTOR is residing in NY, Long Island Area, currently devoting his free time to perfecting his mixes and producing the next world hit at his production lab.

DJ1NEn2WO- Sunday night special

On Sunday, December 21st, log on and tune in to the sounds of DJ1NEn2WO from 10:00pm-midnight EST.

DJ1NEn2WO was born to spin on the turntables. He first touched the turntables at the age of 12. 17 years later, he has grown to become one of the hottest, and most versatile DJ's today. Influenced by Hip-hop culture and by watching his cousin/mentor/partner Todd Luv spinning records, Mr. Magic's Rap Attack on WBLS and The Kool DJ Red Alert Show on KISS FM. His drive was so intense he soon enough built up his first turntable set by using a home entertainment system, a Technics 3300 turntable and a Numark mixer, practicing day and night.
When in High school, 1NEn2WO began to battle local DJs to build reputation. He learned different styles by listening to legendary Queens DJs such as DJ Baby J, Boo the Baber, DJ Clue and Ike Love to name a few. 1NEn2WO then began assisting Todd Luv and his group MCM Productions with their events. His music knowledge grew tremendously from the experience and in college he began to spin music for WCCR City College radio. From there on he worked his way up to General Manager position. It was then that Jam Kam Entertainment was conceived.
Along with his partners DJ Todd Love, DJ Hyper Flexus, DJ Misery and newly added DJ Camouflage and King Ryder, Jam Kam Entertainment has become the trend setters in the mobile and club arena. Every one of the Jam Kam DJs shared the same vision and that was not only to play music but to entertain, motivate, and make the party people leave with a lasting impression that will encourage repeat performances. As a unit, they have played the hottest spots in New York City such as Speed, Club New York, The Mystic Lounge, Club Mantra, Albany Manor, The Elite Ark, Cafe Alta, Spread Lounge, Groove Jet, 181 West, Metronome, Go, Peppers, and American Parl Cafe to name a few.

DJ1NEn2WO-Sunday, December 21st-House classics, Hip Hop-from 10:00 pm-Midnight EST.
