Those stand out individuals are what make the world a better place, while creating a life for themselves that relies on truth, honor, and passion. Teaching us a thing or two in life and behind the turntables while igniting us with renewed passion is DJ SPIN DOCTOR. Perhaps not yet part of history, yet creating a niche for himself, SPIN DOCTOR got his start 13 years ago while fiddling with his brother's old DJ equipment, he was hooked right from the start and wanted to turn his passion to a career. At 24, SPIN DOCTOR, also know as Sal Mastro continues to rock audiences all across New York, from small events to huge clubs. SPIN DOCTOR's style of spinning is unique, blending many styles of HiNRG, Hard and Progressive House. He is a storyteller, most noted for his powerful mixes. His main inspirations are Tony Draper and Jonathan Peters. Perhaps you have seen SPIN DOCTOR in action, for those who have they never forget what this Doc can do.
As of today, the SPIN DOCTOR is residing in NY, Long Island Area, currently devoting his free time to perfecting his mixes and producing the next world hit at his production lab.

John Davis on the Kinky show

In the summer of 1996, New York was introduced to the Body and Soul parties. The brain child of British promoter John Davis and famed DJ/Producer partner Francois Kevorkian. Body and Soul was created to give lovers of dance music a place to call home.
Having been involved with house music through UK and European DJ's, John Davis became an aficionado of London's famed deep house Sunday day party "The Arches". Starting at the early hour of 10am, the party was a meeting point for all lovers of deep house - those who were just starting the party and those who were still going strong from Saturday night. With that in mind, John set out to start a party in New York with music that could keep anyone going and get anyone going.
Now more than 7 years later, the name Body and Soul has become synonymous with spiritual, uplifting music and Davis has become one of its most familiar ambassadors to the NYC party scene. Although the party is currently on hiatus, Davis has not forgotten the dance music lovers or his commitment to bringing this city a party where house heads, gay, straight, black, white, and all in between can meet on common ground. Most importantly Davis has not forgotten the most important thing of all- whether the clubs get bigger, brighter, smaller, darker, no-frills, or all gimmick, the main goal is to give people a place to indulge in their love of House and dance, whatever their choice of music may be.
Since 1996 Davis embarked on a number of other musical projects which included a 2 year party (At Club Life) called "Legends" on Wednesday nights which came to a close when the club was shut down and converted to a theater. Rockstar Video Games (Grand Theft Auto) teamed up with Davis in 1999 to bring a hugely popular series of "secret location" parties. Several parties were held in undisclosed locations (NYC Lofts) and were a great success. In 1999, Central Park Summerstage concert series approached Davis and Kevorkian about bringing their popular Sunday party, Body and SOUL to the park for an all day DJ Dance party. The party was such a huge success with attendance's exceeding 12,000 that they were asked back for 2 further years.

New Jersey's "best kept secret" Dave Davis is finally getting some recognition building a following for house music lovers over a 20 year span. Musical influences such as Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford, "little" Louie Vega, Larry Levan, and Merlin Bob shaped his unique style.
Dave, a self taught DJ got his start in local clubs and venues in 1982. He has made guest appearances at some of the Tri-States hottest clubs including Club Zanzibar(NJ), Club Cheetah(NJ), Club 88(NJ), Scandals(NJ), China Club(NY), Filter 14(NY)and many more to name. In 1992 a radio personality/producer(98.3 WNMS FM) Andre "Dre" Young heard one of his mix tapes at "Movin Records" (Jersey's hottest record store at that time) and immediately got hooked on his vibe and track selection. Soon after Dave became the DJ for the "Club Mix Show" from 1992-1994.
In 1996 he started his production called "Platinum Sound Productions" and plans to release projects in early 2004. In 1998 he hooked up with long time friend DJ Hot Rod who was the resident DJ at club "Bogies" in East Orange, New Jersey he shared the residency until 1999. Later in July,1999 under his production and the promotion of Shelton Hayes they produced a venue called "THE BIGGEST PARTY OF THE SUMMER" hosted by Carloyn Byrd and featured artists Kenny Bobien and Kimara Lovelace. Starting in November 2003 You can SEE and HEAR Dave mix live on his online radio show called "The Underground Groovement Party" on Down Shift Radio.com in NYC every Sunday from 4pm to 6pm. Dave is pursuing bookings around the world and is determined to obtain international recognition and continue to do what he does best and that is uplift the soul and refreshes the spirit with the "BEST" dance music on earth...
