last week we had the pleasure of having Ruben Toro (98.7 FM), Aly Dinas, Kevin Russel`s "Dusty Grooves" premiere show, 4th Dimension crew and Hakan Albal as special guests at our studio. Plus a very special unannounced "battle" between Doug Gomez and Lil Ray. Looks like another competition is in the works for these guys, we`ll see what happens next. here`s how last week looked like on Downshiftradio.

Lots of guest DJs, singers, performers, dancers and your regular whacky crew here on DSR get together to show the world that NYC has got it's act together and is here to make a difference. Saint Eve is an immersive, multimedia music experience featuring
singer L. Gabrielle Penabaz and guitarist/VJ Bec Stupak. Saint Eve's
live show pulses with edgy rock-meets-electro music and integrated
visual projections.

I, Synthesist
I, Synthesist is the electro music of Chris Ianuzzi. He collaborates with
multimedia/video artist Anna Krych as well as various other performers and implementors to create surrealistic, futuristic musical environments that take concerts beyond the average. The concept is to adapt to any type of venue and create the I, Synthesist spin based on the crowd as well as
physical design and structure.

House Funktion-where house is a feeling.
Members Jose L. Gonzalez, Luis Romero, Eddie Rodriguez and Jose Burgos formed House Funktion in '97. Inspired by the early 90's NYC underground movement.
After years of promoting house parties, clubbing and lugging their DJ equipment around to different clubs in the Tri-State area, the crew decided to expand their operation.

Kotema Noble- Special set.
On Sunday, August 10th from 12:00 -2:00 pm check out the sounds of DJ/Producer Kotema Noble.
An intelligent pure innovator of deep-house music, Kotema began playing in 1995 at home in Brooklyn NYC. Ever since then he was determined to make a difference in the deep-house movement.
Soon enough, Kotema changed his music to accommodate different world styles he was influenced by. Now, still based in Brooklyn NY, Kotema has toured all over the globe from Asia to Europe through South America coupled with numerous weekly residencies throughout NYC.
Kotema has since spun alongside the following DJs:
