As promised from last
week here is what you need to know about the
Downshiftradio new residency at Opaline:
Thursday Nights starting June 19th, 2003 Downshiftradio invades Club
Opaline.
Q: Where is Opaline located?
A: 85 Ave A (Bet. 5th and 6th Street) NYC, NY. By train, take the 6 Train to Astor Place. By car...are you seriously gonna try to drive in NYC????
Q: How big is the place?
A: We don`t think there`s any place in lower east Manhattan that holds a bigger dance space than Opaline.
HUGE dance area, BIG bar, and a great chill space as well. What else do you want, dining tables?? Hold on, they have those too!
Q: What`s the music gonna be like?
A: Every week we will announce the line-up for that particular week.
Downshift jocks are in command of the decks, bringing different styles and vibes from up-to-date electronic dance music to the urban sounds of House, Hip Hop and DnB. (We also do Weddings)
Q: It`s summer and it`s hot, do I need to bring any drinks?
A: Nope. Come any time from 10-11:00 PM and enjoy 2 for 1 drinks from the bar on any drink purchased!
Q: I heard about you guys. You have that camera crew that walks around and takes pictures of people at the clubs. How do I get my picture taken?
A: That`s true our camera crew will take shots of each event as well and post it in the newsletter the following Monday for all to see. That is unless you are Dan Bino. He gets his picture in here every week. (Where is it this week!!!-Ed)
Q: OK, I`m hooked. What`s the damage?
A: Absolutely free all night! That is unless you get caught sitting on a milk crate. Your on your own there, dude.
