A Word From Dan

We`re back after a long week of battling and partying hard. Thanks for all of you who came down and partied with us at The Duplexx this past Friday. We had a lot of fun. A special thank you goes to Doug G and Omar Hererra of Kinky, the masterminds behind "the battles", Kai of Statuskuo.com, Sarah, Jane, Carol G, MasterKev, Spinna, Nicky P, Doc and the staff from Duplexx, and all the great DJs that participated and helped make this event happen. We are currently working on editing the recording of the Battle. We`ll have it available to all of you who missed this event (shame on you) and all of the fans of house music that lived overseas and couldn't make it to this exciting event. In the meantime check-out the pictures at the bottom to see how it went down at the Duplexx. Back to our regular schedule...a lot of exciting shows in this week ahead. Catch you on the radio.

Davidson Ospina on the Kinky show

Doug G and Omar Herrera host DJ/Producer Davidson Ospina.
Davidson Ospina.
Born and raised in Queens, New York. Having been exposed to a wide variety of music, he created his own style and began playing keyboards and writing songs in the early 90's. With his reputation and knowledge of music, he acquired a position at indie label Digital Dungeon, where he became Director of Promotions, A & R and of course, in-house Producer for the label.
In 1996, he made his mark as a producer with his first hit El Cantor "Toma" on Digital Dungeon Records. This record became a Latin-House club anthem across the world for months and peaked #9 on the Billboard Dance chrts for several weeks.
The success of El Cantor increased his demand as a Remixer/Producer with major and indie labels. Atlantic Records, Senior Director of Crossover Music Promotion, Johnny D' DeMairo took much note of this and hired him for his first major label remix, The Gipsy Kings "La Rumba de Nicolas". NYC mixshow DJs and clubjocks were hip to his fresh, innovative and versatile latin-house style.
Now having a name for himself, as a diverse remixer/producer & Keyboard Player much of his time has been spent on a wide range of projects including remixes for Backstreet Boys "All I Have To Give" on Jive/Zomba Records, Britney Spears "Baby, One More Time" on Jive/Zomba, Enrique Iglesias "Bailamos" on Interscope Records, just to name a few.
Also, his keyboard skills have landed him the opportunity to play for Grammy Winner David Morales remix productions. Davidson continues to work on his full-time passion, producing and writing original work as well as remixing. There is also the recent launch of his own record label SPINA which is bound to catch much attention which will feature many of his own productions
Kinky Productions-special guest Davidson Ospina- Thursday, May 29th 9-11:00 pm- House, Deep, Soulful.

This week`s guests are DJ CHUCk ACQUISTO from UNITED SOUND RECORDS and DJ DAVE SHELL from S.A.M.E Productions.

After that night he went through a relentless pursuit from Club to Club, until he finally found a home at the Legendary Paradise Garage and Club Zanzibar. Hearing Larry Levan at the Garage and Tee Scott at the Zanzibar was where he got most of his roots from.
