A Word From Dan
It all comes down to Centro-Fly this Thursday on May 15th 2003.
For those of you who don`t know, Centro Fly is considered to be NYC's elite dance club by many. With a top notch sound system in all 3 dance floors, luxurious bar, VIP rooms, and incredible lighting system, it is no wonder why clubbers prefer Centro over any other venue. Past DJs, too many to mention, include from techno`s Richie Hawtin to Trance meister Paul Oakenfold.
Last year Downshift invaded Centro Fly (07/25/02) for the first time and the night was fantastic (see pictures below). A year later we`re at it again, this time celebrating our record release "Funkular". With DSR music provided by Magnifica alongside Low End Specialists.
We hope that you can come down and celebrate the night with us. To get on our mailing list please email list@downshiftradio.com. We will have a limited amount of CDs and vinyl to give out, so please reserve your copy when emailing us.

DJ Boris and Shawnink at the playhouse
Patricia Starr hosts DJ Boris and ShawnInk.
DJ Boris-Better known to his legion of fans as DJ Boris, Boris Inzhin has attracted crowds to some of New York City's leading nightclubs such as Exit, Tilt, Expo, Sound Factory Bar, The Grand, Warsaw, Supper Club, and Carbon. Formerly from the infamous "Big Friday Party" at the Roxy and the legendary Limelight, Boris' progressive house tracks and pulse-pounding beats literally keep club attendees on their feet 'til 9:00am Sunday morning.
DJ Shawninc-was born and bread in Brooklyn, New York.
DJing from the young age of 14, Shawn has held residencies at many elite venues in the New York Metro area such as China Club, Exit, Float, Saci, Sound Factory, Webster Hall as well as WKRB 90.9 FM in Brooklyn, NY.

Kevin Russel`s "Hot Chocolate"
Kevin Russell and Arthur Wooten co-host this Bi-monthly event, featuring deep house, Nu-jazz, Funk and Rare grooves.
This week`s guest is DJ DAVE SHELL from S.A.M.E Productions.
Kevin Russell`s music history started with a very big club called Bonds International, where he got his very first Lesson at how a DJ really works a crowd. He listened to Kenny Carpenter and thought, "damn, I love this scene".
After that night he went through a relentless pursuit from Club to Club, until he finally found a home at the Legendary Paradise Garage and Club Zanzibar. Hearing Larry Levan at the Garage and Tee Scott at the Zanzibar was where he got most of his roots from.
Ever since 1983 Kevin has been playing in residential bars and clubs and spreading his love for the underground music.
Current project Hot Chocolate will feature Deep House, Rare Grooves and Funk, music programmed by Resident Kevin Russell and Friends streaming live audio and video at Downshiftradio.com.
Third show will be brewed on Saturday, May 17th.
