A Word From Dan


Winter Music Conference 2003 report:

We`re back!
Wow, what a long week it was. Four days and nights of great dance music and hot (exceptionally hot this year) weather held in South Beach, Miami (now, the official 'city that never sleeps'). Over 300 listed events crowned South Beach as the new party center for the masses. That`s right-move over Ibiza, there`s a new kid on the block.
Almost everywhere you go, there are people carrying record crates and vinyl. Selected hotels at the beach are actually considering carrying turntable stations at their facilities for next year`s conference.
Downshift`s biggest news this year at the WMC was the release of "Downshift Records", featuring "Magnifica" on our first release! We apologize to all of those who haven`t received a copy of our promo release, and we`re happy to hear that Miami`s "Uncle Sam`s Music" has sold out of all their stock already!
Overall the whole conference period we kept on hearing people telling us that we should have a party for next year`s conference, and we`re looking at following up on that as well.
Finally I would like to apologize to all of those who I personally haven`t gotten in touch with during my stay in Miami, but I did have a terrible accident with my Mobile phone and had lost all of my contacts which prevented me from getting in touch with some of you.

After a long time situating the last battle between Deephousepage and Statuskuo we have decided that the winners of the match cannot be determined as a single team but rather as individual winners.
Therefore, the upcoming match this Thursday, March 27th, will feature the following lineup:
Donger (Statuskuo) Vs. Master Kev
Lil Ray (DHP) Vs. David Tobon
Messiah (DHP) Vs. Christopher Conrad
On a sidenote, we came up with a tie on the battle between Lil Ray and Kai. But Kai decided to step out for the next match and let Lil Ray battle the Yelloranges (which also makes Lil Ray the sole provider of food supplies for the next match:)
There you have it. The stage has been set. Lets get ready to rumble!

DJ Punch-special set


Talk about impact, this assassin is on a mission to kill every time he hits the decks. With an early break at a party called "Braindance Project" by B.F.K. of Philly, Punch was a last minute add-on to headline along side Gonzo and Venom. That set is what ignited Club Space on fire that night. Since then Punch has been lighting up dance floors all over the east coast.
Being involved in the scene that he loves since 1994 he has had the chance to share the decks with dj's such Gonzo, Tommy Tunes, Scott Henry, Frankie Bones, and even Dj Skribble. Punch's style of hard hitting acid trance combined with selected uplifting melodies, breaks, and house is what makes parties erupt with joyous sounds and vibe.
In 1995 Punch founded his production company Pure Adrenaline. Starting slow he eventually formed a weekly at the legendary CAVES in Staten Island, which ran for almost 2 years. Now a known force in the Pa scene he has joined with B-Freed to bring the planet music and parties that break all boundaries known to man, woman, and child. Recently he has joined a group that is set to make its mark, THE NEW YORK ASSASSINS TOUR. Teaming up with Gonzo, and John Bas, with the assistance of the one M.C. Meddafore and The Velvet Crush Dancers, this tour is one that brings the purest sounds of New York City Acid Trance to all.
