In late 2004, DJ UCH made his first major segue from radio dj to club dj by gaining his first club residency. He began playing at Club Selena's (Queens, NY) in November 2004, and has not looked back since. UCH soon hooked up with DJ Tanco at MiGente Café, with whom he worked 5 years prior during nevermore TV club events, and focused more on playing house music. Tanco's guidance, coupled with hearing inspirational sets by Victor Calderone, DJ Boris, DJ Disciple, Jason Ojeda, Richie Santana, Erick Morillo, Merritt, Superchumbo, and Tiesto, has given UCH an unbridled passion for bringing the joy of music to all people, all over the world.
2005 proved to be a solid, productive year for UCH, yielding a schedule jam-packed to a point where UCH played 7 nights a week. He attained residencies in various NYC venues, including Casanova Gold (Westchester NY), Crazy Horse (Westchester NY), HQ (NYC), Karma Lounge (NYC), and Mocca Lounge (NYC). UCH also has experience spinning at a myriad of afterhours and special events, including the annual Ice Palace White Party (Fire Island, NY). UCH has some major production projects in the works and has the ultimate goal of 'country-hopping' as a dj, and gaining international residencies. His upcoming 2006 gigs in Miami, at Pink Skirt in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and his return to radio with new weekly broadcasts on downshiftradio.com, are all certainly big steps in the right direction: Up.
