Over the past 6 years, Rus has been honing his skills at moving crowds and his style has matured into a dark, sexy blend of tribal house, techno, trance and progressive house. His talent and drive has allowed him to play along side such notable DJ's as, David Waxman, DJ Pierre, Supa DJ Dimitri from Dee Lite, Timo Maas, Peace Division, Mark Lewis and Hector Romero.
In January 2003, he was featured in the SPOTLIGHT article of MIXER.
July of 2003 saw the North American release of "Sounds Under New York", a mix compilation CD he did for the UK label Journeys By DJ. Journeys By DJ was the first label to release a DJ mixed CDs in 1993 and have put out compilations by Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Danny Rampling, Judge Jules, Farley & Heller, Billy Nasty, John Selway and Coldcut.
STUDIO WORK
Rus has been busy in the studio as well, collaborating with DJ/producer Alek Biotic as Upstanding Citizens. Together they create a unique tribal techno sound and have released one of their tracks, CANNIBAL CARNIVAL, on the Journeys By DJ label. With The Groove Perverts, Rus teams up with DJ/producer JOE BOND and the result is a sexy New York tribal house flavor. They have currently done a remix of Ebar's WHEN I GET TWISTED for Sifted Recordings.
Rus is continuing his musical soul search, looking for new ways to refine both his sound and his technique. He hopes, through his music, to gratify the dance community.
