For Wayne 'QMix' Smith it all started in 1981 as a regular mobile jock, he soon thereafter discovered the deep and soulful sounds coming from such NY clubs as the Loft and Paradise Garage. He then started pursuing a club DJ career. Furthermore, his fascination with dance music production led him to study music engineering. Graduating at the Audio Recording Technology Institute of NY and engineering for Rockstone music studios he then opened his own 'Qmix production' lab in 1997. With a full passion to House and Deep Soulful music, inspired by the likes of Todd Terry, Frankie Knuckles and Dave Morales, Wayne is keeping it real as a hard working DJ/producer as well as a faithful music fan.
