OMAR HERRERA

Colombian Born Omar Herrera got his first taste of the club scene in 1989 when he started promoting his own parties. Influenced by the hottest djs at the time from the late Larry Levan to one of the greatest DJs, Tony Humphries, Omar was bitten by the spining bug. In 1992 he started DJšing and his style got him gigs at such respected clubs as Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium as well as radio spots on WSIA 88.9 in his native Staten Island. Omaršs style varies from Deep House, tribal and anything that will make a crowd dance.
Teaming up with friend and partner Doug Gomez and a revival of the KINKY parties has opened a new chapter in Omaršs life. A party where they both plan to express their love of 'HOUSE MUSIC' to the masses and having a good time. Omar also does promotions for the successful HispanicPunch.com for long time promoter Louie S.
The future is bright, soon Omar will start working on original productions that will be released on independent label HyperCube Productions and looks forward to new horizons in the Club scene with new parties and DJ gigs.
Omar wishes to thank his inspirations, the legendary Levan, Danny Tenaglia, Tony Humphries, David Morales and "Little" Louie Vega. His mentor and teacher Renzo Gracie, the master of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
