DJ Tony Draper's career came underway in 1988 with a residency spot at Avante, a night club in Bayside, NY, where Tony originates from. His combination of heart pounding beats and captivating tunes quickly had any audience hooked. In no time Tony exploded onto the New York City club scene, and he hasn't stopped since.
At an astonishing pace, Tony climbed the ranks amongst New York's elite. With guest appearances at legendary nightclubs which include, The Palladium, Expo, U.S.A., Carbon and the world famous Limelight. In 1995, Tony became the resident dj at Metropolis, one of the largest night clubs in Queens, NY. This is where his striving passion for music was soon to be acknowledged.
In 1997, with the support of club promoters Adam S. and Steve Zoomba, the Imagine Party was conceived, and in 1998 brought to life. The venue chosen to fit this event was a newly renovated night club in the heart of New York City. Designed over the legendary Carbon/Mirage nightclub, to be renamed Exit. With its massive size and breathtaking architecture, Exit was the perfect venue for this master of beats to take house music to a different level. For four years DJ Tony Draper has continued to rock crowds of over 3,000 club goers weekly, leaving them speechless every time.
Throughout his four year run Tony's guest appearances aside from his residency at Exit include, Soundfactory-NYC, The Roxy- NYC, World*WWF- NYC, Babies Hard Rock- Las Vegas, The Avalon- Boston, The Clevelander- Miami, and La Boom- Cancun.
Tony has also shared the spotlight with some of the industries best DJ's. Some of his collaborations include artists such as Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, Judge Jules, tall Paul, George Acosta, and Funkmaster Flex.
He has released an array of musical vibes with labels such as Galactic, Speed Limit, Indorphin, and Jellybean.With a wide collection of unreleased work, and a dynamic thrive to create music; DJ Tony Draper is a force to be reckoned with in New York City's club scene. It's only a matter of time before he takes on a bigger set, the world.
