He has been called the "Virus" of Downshiftradio, his music styles range from abstract Merzbow-like noise and digital ramblings through obnoxious hardcore/gabber, grating techno, media-error FX, the occasional fucked beat/break combination, and, more often than not, combining most of the above in one mix.
While the music suggests a repressed individual exploding cathartically, DJ Creole stresses he is "a really nice guy, addicted to Gatorade and Elvis Presley." His typical sets on Downshift are a 120-minute excursions delving into diverse expressions of audio-fuckery. Glimpses of gabber, abstract noise, and digital mucking about all come through, incredibly noisy and obnoxious, yet almost hypnotic.
Spinning from the early 80's DJ Creole plays it all, even Deep House music will find space in his crates, although not as common as an Industrial Strength or those classic "Overdoze" records.
"I enjoy spinning, spend most of my time doing it" says Creole, " I want to share my experience and love of music with the audience and music fans of all generations".
Check him out on Fridays from 8-10:00 pm on "The Nice and Hard Show"
